The Binding of Isaac Screenshots
The Binding of Isaac puts the player in charge of the main character Isaac, who appears to be a young child or even a baby. Isaac is the default starting character in The Binding of Isaac but there are six more that eventually become available to play.
The concept of the gameplay in The Binding of Isaac is that Isaac is exploring his basement and cones across several monsters. There are many floors in the basement and they each act as a level in the game. The objective as Isaac is to fight off all of the monsters in each room so you can move on to the next and continue your exploration.
While traveling from room to room around the basement in The Binding of Isaac there are a few things the player can pick up. One of the special items is money. The money collected in The Binding of Isaac is spent at various shops located around the basement. The shopkeepers will exchange the player needed equipment for their money.
Another collectable item in the basement levels of The Binding of Isaac are keys. The basement holds rooms of treasure but they're locked and a key is required to get gain access. The third type of items that will help the player quite a bit are weapons and power ups. Since there are so many bosses to be defeated the help of weapons and power ups can only help.
As the player progresses through The Binding of Isaac the bosses will become harder to kill. There are a total of eight floors in the basement in The Binding of Isaac. On the sixth floor Isaac and the player encounter Isaacs mom, who can be considered the antagonist in The Binding of Isaac. After Isaac takes out his mom he’ll crawl inside of her until he's in her womb. This will begin the next set of levels that deal with Isaacs mom. These levels will be harder because they're the final levels.
The eighth floor in The Binding of Isaac holds a fight between Isaac and the heart of his mother. This carries more of a symbolic meaning because the game is based on Isaacs mom sacrificing her son as proof of her faith in God. That's why Isaac was in the basement in the first place, because he was hiding from his mother.
The Binding of Isaac features a bonus level, level nine. This level is held in the place of darkness where the dead go. The boss here is satan and he's one of the most difficult bosses to defeat in the game.
