The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Screenshots
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is the remake of the original The Binding of Isaac that was released in 2011. The Rebirth features three new ending bosses that weren't seen in the original game. The new bosses include; the Lamb, a Mega Satan, and the Angel Boss. The angel bosses consist of the team of Uriel and Gabriel, which are found after bombing the statues of angels. These are all bosses that are faced at the final rounds of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
There are also new bosses in the normal rounds of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, not only the final rounds. There are a total of seventeen new bosses in Rebirth, such as Dingle, Mega Fatty, and the Megamaw.
The basics of the gameplay in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth haven't changed much from The Binding of Isaac. It gives the player a view from over the top of the scene. The main character, Isaac, is exploring the basement in his mother’s house. This is what the player is seeing from a straight above view.
Isaac isn't the only player that can explore the basement in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, there are also ten additional characters that are available for unlocking later in the game after making progress.
The basement also isn't the only location up for exploring with Isaac in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Isaac and the player will somehow make their way to random locations; including the womb of Isaacs’s mother, mysterious catacombs, and Necropolis. Necropolises are vast cemeteries from ancient times. These necropolises hold complex and grand tombstone statues and such.
While Isaac is exploring the womb he will encounter a baby. This baby is in fact himself as a baby in his mother’s womb. The point of having a baby Isaac in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is to open up the option for cooperative multiplayer with a local player. Once the player joins in the game they will become the baby Isaac and their health will be taken from the older Isaac. One of his own hearts is given up for the baby to join the exploration in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
There is a background story as to why Isaac is roaming around the mysterious basement in his own mom’s house. The original The Binding of Isaac reveals more than the remake The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. It's basically Isaac running away and hiding from his mother. She believes she was told by God himself to sacrifice Isaac as proof of her faith. Isaac learns of this and finds himself in the basement with a bunch of monsters, or the bosses in the case of the game play.
